Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.: In this role you will be responsible to act as a business partner to Global Product Group manager to support further development of LVS business ( 550 MUSD with several feeder factories across the world) and serving related markets globally (except North America). Manage a large team of local controllers spread globally and act as key player in the Global division finance team. Partner the GPG manager in all business optimization projects (portfolio, footprint, M&A, etc) in line with GPG strategy. Your responsibilities: - Serve as key partner for GPG manager in determining the strategy for successful business development. Key focus on LVS portfolio performance and pricing policies. - Partner with the GPG Manager to develop both long term and short term financial and operational plan. Oversee the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serve as the interface to Local and Global management. Evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions, build forward looking scenarios and recommend actions. - Monitor all financial aspects of LVS business (manufacturing and related costs, product and project costing, operational KPIs, provides insight and analysis to support operational decision-making). Identify issues and advise management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Finance and controlling with forward looking mindset to drive appropriate actions to growth business in profitable manner. Special focus on project tender stage, supporting and advising on project contractual, financial, commercial aspects and project risk management. - Establish and oversee processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensure high quality and compliance of financial data and business information in line with defined standards & financial closing schedules. - Ensure timely, effective and efficient communication with relevant GPG/LPG/Corporate Controllers, GBS / Accounting Center, and other internal customers such as Operations, Sales, Manufacturing Plants, HR, Service, etc. to deliver key messages and identify and discuss areas for improvement. - Assess business risk exposure and define risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance in own area of responsibility. Ensure risk management processes are consistently implemented in the GPG. Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions. - Organize project reviews with local teams wherever relevant based on type of business and risk profile. Review and support on project and business financial and commercial matters and actively support driving the performance and identifying opportunities to improve project and business profitability. - Support ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement processes and integrity performance. Personally, lives the ABB values and Group standards. Manage, supports and develops local finance teams, leadership and performance mindset. Your background: - A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting is required - 5 years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated performance and results in the areas of business, finance, operational controlling and accounting - At least 4 years of experience as a Controller of an engineer to order or project unit with good skills in risk management / commercial matters / project controlling - Strong financial manager, structured and results oriented leader with strong analytical and operational controlling skills - Leadership and previous experience in managing a large team of local controllers spread globally - Change management experience and strong communication skills - Business oriented mindset to support business development - Strong Microsoft Office/computer skills and solid SAP knowledge/experience (CO/FI) preferred - Experience in business optimization projects: portfolio and footprint optimization (consolidation, make or buy, etc), M&A - Strong knowledge of used ERP systems and strong knowledge of reporting matters on global level.
