We are looking for a PDGS Operations Manager to work in Frascati, Italy. This position is related to the Payload Data Ground Segment (PDGS) operation coordination in the frame of ESA Earth Explorer missions. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the Operation team and meeting the operation KPIs. - This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 (“Rules for the right to work of disabled people”)._ - Questa posizione è aperta alle categorie protette L. 68/99._ Tasks and Activities: The scope of work will include: - Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way according to the procedure agreed with the customer. - Proposing improvement to operational procedures, processes and best practices. - Constantly communicating with the customer to provide operation status and information about major anomalies. - Attending specific board meetings organized by the customer to support specific anomaly investigation process or recovery from anomaly. - Supporting the User Support Service to ensure the resolution of incidents and requests raised by users. - Coordinating small data reprocessing activities. - Performing quality controls and ensuring SLAs and relevant KPIs objectives are met throughout operations phases. Skills and Experience: The following skills and experience are mandatory: - A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline as well as a minimum of 4 years of experience. - Demonstrated experience in EO mission ground segment operations. - Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role. - Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Leadership abilities. - Outstanding organizational skills. - Good time management skills. - A good knowledge of MS Office tools including spreadsheet and presentation preparation.
