Job DescriptionWhat will you take care of? The System Engineer is responsible for development of state of the art cross domain products, integrating HW electronics, embedded SW and Cloud services. The responsibility includes system integration activities from initial concept requirement elicitation to development for series release. The focus is on design of next generation software architecture for future vehicles (motorbike, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-road applications).The resource will support the team in the following activities: Develop and optimize algorithms based on ML and neural networksTest case and methods definition, implementation, and execution to ensure requirements fulfillmentTesting feasibility and functional acceptance of the delivered SWEmbedded SW testing at HiL and on target systemHandling and tracking of SW changes. Perform change impact analysis of the requested change. Clarification with function development team and calibration team of the functional impact on the system.Understand and debug hardware and software during design, launch, and deployment.Develop of software tooling to support internal activitiesQualificationsEducation: Master Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalentLanguage skills: Good English language skills required; in best case, basic knowledge of German languageExperience and know-how: Good system overview and understanding of the interaction of HW and SW in connection with powertrains. Background knowledge of Automotive-SPICE is beneficial. Experience with Python programming and with CAN.Software: MS Office, Doors, Matlab, Notepad++, Siemens Polarion, SimulinkOperative Systems: Windows 98/XP/7/8/10, Android, Linux, macOSProgramming languages: C, C++Working Method: Team player attitude within a diverse and multicultural environment, proactive working style, independent and goal-oriented way of working, good analytical skills and coordination skills. Customer orientationPersonality: High motivation and willingness to take responsibilities, self-standing personality, flexibility and ability to work under pressure. Availability for abroad assignments for short or medium periods as a nice-to-have.
