Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Archeology Field Work for the School of Lang, Culture $ Sociology at Oregon State University (OSU). Archaeological excavation on undeveloped coastal forest, dune, and wetland environment 20 minutes outside of Florence, Oregon Position Duties Taking field notes, creating field maps, taking photos, operating handheld GPS unit, and assisting with organizing geological and archaeological samples collected. Excavating shovel test units, screening sediment matrix, recording/collecting artifacts, and recording stratigraphic data. Education in and knowledge of Oregon’s coastal tribal history, culture, and archaeological heritage. Valid driver’s license. Majoring in Anthropology (archaeology concentration).
