The Senior Manager, Creator & Influencer Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing breakthrough creator/influencer social strategies and creative campaigns that help drive Verizon’s brand and business objectives - owning the end-to-end development of campaigns that put creators and creator content at the center of 360 degree integrated marketing initiatives.

As an expert in the fast-moving creator/influencer space, you’ll be a driving force as part of Verizon’s marketing transformation developing bespoke creator campaigns, creator partnership and content strategies; all while partnering across a diverse group of teams and agency partners to execute and bring these campaigns to life.

We're on the lookout for someone with a passion and proven experience in developing and executing full-funnel creator strategies and creative activations for major brands with a diversity of objectives, products, and business objectives. This role requires equal parts content, creator, and social strategy chops as you’ll be relied on to independently lead multiple creator initiatives for key brand moments at once, while continuing to define and refine the brand’s overall creator strategy and value proposition.

This role is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of a new discipline within a sophisticated marketing organization, transforming a major brand’s marketing approach, and will be directly responsible for:

  • From brief to execution, you’ll be tasked with defining breakthrough creator strategies for campaign initiatives that authentically engage creators and communities and drive brand and business results.

  • Partnering with the Verizon marketing organization, our influencer agency, and creators themselves to develop creative executions and unique storytelling formats that create an emotional connection with the brand.

  • Developing strategic approaches, content calendars, and planned and reactive moment strategies to fuel a creator content engine that powers Verizon's holistic content ecosystem across paid, owned, and ATL channels.

  • Collaborating closely and effectively across brand social, marketing activation, media, and analytics teams to bring the influencer strategy and individual campaign executions to life as part of larger omnichannel campaigns.

  • Building relationships with cross-functional leaders and ensure regular communication and alignment on influencer/creator marketing efforts.

  • Partnering closely and ‘in the trenches’ with Verizon’s influencer agency-of-record to effectively and continuously push breakthrough creative work and innovative strategic initiatives

  • In partnership with our agencies and internal measurement teams, execute and continuously improve our ability to effectively track, analyze, and report social and influencer KPIs as part of our larger measurement stack - turning data into insights and continually making optimizations that improve performance and efficiency.

  • Developing long-term, valuable partnerships with creators and content partners building Verizon’s overall suite of creator relationships

  • Continuously surfacing, educating, and inspiring Verizon’s marketing organization with the latest trends, competitive intelligence, and creator perspectives to increase the creator marketing fluency of our entire organization.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Direct experience in influencer marketing at a creative/creator/social agency, client, platform or talent agency.

Even better if you have one or more the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Eight or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Six or more years of direct experience building and managing influencer and social marketing programs in fast-paced environments for blue-chip brands.

  • Experience transforming a brand’s creator/influencer marketing practice, establishing new playbooks, systems, best practices, and more.

  • Strong project leadership and communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Elite verbal and written presentation and storytelling ability. High degree of aptitude leading meetings, owning presentations, and being a compelling presence in-room.

  • Expertise in the influencer marketing tech stack and key software to enable brands to efficiently manage and scale an effective influencer practice.

  • Strong knowledge in affiliate marketing and connecting brands with creators to measurably drive sales conversion.

  • Proven track record of managing successful social/digital campaigns across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter).

  • Experience in social media judgment (e.g., knowing what to post and when to post it).

  • Knowledge with optimizing content on specific social media platforms to drive engagement.

  • Ability to craft strategic POVs on industry-related topics in an ever-changing media landscape, and deliver them clearly and concisely.

  • Sound business and professional ethics.

  • Shows confidence in front of an audience; ability to be the ‘center of the room’.

  • Ability to accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.

  • Experience managing complex 360 & digital campaigns, including working closely with creative teams to tailor campaign messaging to specific media channels.

  • Platform proficiency, competent in ad platforms including but not limited to paid social, programmatic display, search, remarketing.

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to navigate difficult issues.

  • Experience in team oversight and talent development.

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Experience building learning plans for both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives

  • Flexibility, patience, empathy, and a sense of humor.

  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of KPI measurement and attribution.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $118,000.00 and $219,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
