Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government. We are looking for Warehouse & Distribution Coordinator. The identified resource will be responsible for: -Coordinate the 3PL warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, and shipping of goods, to ensure operational efficiency. -Manage operations during peak demand, planning and coordinating with 3PL resources and personnel to meet storage, picking, and delivery needs during key phases of the Games. -Oversee storage management, ensuring that goods are allocated efficiently by optimizing available space in accordance with storage requirements. -Coordinate with the 3PL on workflows within the warehouse to maximize operational efficiency. -Develop warehouse operations with 3PL determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, shipping methods and fleet needs. -Collaborate with the 3PL to ensure efficient operations and coordination of distribution activities. -Collaborate on drafting procedures for key flows contributing to process improvement with focus on reliability, continuity, elasticity to demand and safety. -Collaborate with external stakeholders, including suppliers and partners, to ensure effective communication and propose beneficial solutions. -Contribute to the management of the distribution fleet, ensuring the required number of vehicles, monitoring service performance. -Ensure that shipments are prepared correctly and in accordance with the specifications of the requesting functions. -Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to logistics, such as safety standards and procedures. -Experience in the logistics of major events is a preferential requirement. -Excellent coordination skills and ability to manage staff during peak demand. -Knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory management best practices. -Demonstrated skills in negotiation and stakeholder management. -Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams. -Detail orientation and attention to accuracy. -Excellent customer relations skills. -Bachelor's degree management engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is typically preferred. -However, equivalent experience or specialized training in logistics and operations management can also be considered.
