Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Government Affairs and Licensing. This pivotal position will be crucial for navigating regulatory landscapes, securing authorizations, and fostering relationships with regulatory bodies on a global scale. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in regulatory financial services law and governmental affairs within large corporations or government departments, preferably in financial services, law firms, financial institutions, or consultancy services with governmental bodies. Candidates with backgrounds as lawyers in regulatory departments, or in big corporations within government departments, or as consultants managing projects within renowned firms like McKinsey, PwC, or Deloitte, particularly in the financial services sector, are highly encouraged to apply and strongly preferred. Requirements • Collaborate with the head of the function in securing authorizations and licenses on a global scale. • Cultivate and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and foster cooperation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate regulatory challenges and support business objectives. • Provide strategic guidance on regulatory matters to internal stakeholders. • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization. • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate regulatory risks. • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Qualifications: Essential Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. • 7 to 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in financial services or related industries. • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and regulatory compliance initiatives. • Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and processes. • Proficiency in English and local language(s) required. • Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred Skills: • Experience working with regulatory bodies in Italy or other key markets. • Background in consulting, particularly in regulatory compliance or project management. • Familiarity with licensing processes for financial institutions.
