Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies. The Group Capital Planning and Optimization (GCPO) team is part of the Cash and Capital Management unit which reports directly to the Group CFO. Its main mission is to drive a Group wide capital management culture, focused on effective planning and continuous optimization of capital, as well as on ongoing controls and challenges on capital performance and remittance. As part of this mission, the GCPO team: - coordinates the Capital Planning process, with focus on Capital and Cash Integration and Optimization, Capital Management Actions, Capital Plan Monitoring and Reporting; - defines the Group Capital Allocation framework, the Own Funds projection and implements the related tools; - develops and maintains Group policies and guidelines on Capital Management, supporting their local implementation The GCPO team is looking for a Capital Management Analyst which main missions will be: - to support analysis on capital development and monitoring of plan implementation, with focus on remittance, capital needs, capital management actions and strategic initiatives (e.g. M&As) for Generali insurance companies based in Asia; - to contribute, alongside with Senior Capital Controllers covering Asia, to the finalization of related contributions for Group Capital Plan and other relevant capital KPIs for the strategic plan exercise and its ongoing monitoring; - to perform quantitative and qualitative (macro-economic) analyses in support of capital metrics monitoring activities for Generali insurance companies based in Asia Must have - Have a Master’s Degree in actuarial, economics, finance or alike disciplines with a strong quantitative focus - Previous experience in finance, risk management, actuarial or ALM function is a plus - Basic understanding of insurance balance sheet, regulations and performance metrics - Good knowledge of standard softwares (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Be fluent in English Soft skills - Communication skills are essential for this role which is interfacing several functions at Group and Local level - Good attitude to critical thinking is needed in order to be able to analyse topics from different perspectives, get and summarise the full picture - Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized work situations is of crucial importance for this role
