Your ‘day to day’: As Supervisor Operations Training you will be part of our Manufacturing department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to the Manager Technical Services Secondary. The position will be based in Bologna. A key responsibility will be to define and manage factory training strategies and activities in order to enhance Operations performance by developing competencies and technical expertise of employees in compliance with QMS requirements. In your role, you will also design and Implement Continuous Improvement training path and Initiatives to provide the Organization with the right level of knowledge to improve and sustain Factory performances. Finally, you will ensure adequate manned capacity according to Manufacturing scale-up plans. Your Responsibilities: - Define and set up the necessary safety guidelines to be integrated in the technical training programs and control that they are abided by to ensure that company complies with legal requirements and provides safeguarding of employees and company property against potential hazards, and to minimize risk of accidents/incidents. Keep abreast of all technological modifications on the equipment used in the production facility and verify that the equipment available for training is compatible with that of the factory in order to ensure that training programs are completely in line with company requirements. - Organize, manage and control the work of collaborators, motivate them to enable them to perform all required assignments. Develop them to grow in their professional expertise and career. Ensure that the department is adequately staffed to support the multiple manufacturing streams; continuously encourage improvements in the quality and output of the staff's work. - Ensure hiring plan, assessment and training strategy is in place to meet factory requirements in the short and long term. Ensure adequate reporting to guarantee a successful Manufacturing start up and routine operations is achieved - Formulate a technical training framework and process that fits within overall Operational, HR policies, QMS Requirements and regulatory requirements. Ensure adequate synergies between training program among different production streams (where applicable) to develop an agile Manufacturing organization. Provide the necessary back-up to Operations Managers in order to assist them in ensuring that employees meet factory requirements in the short and long term. - Manage the development, preparation and delivery of technical training programs and their adaptation to the new technologies in order to ensure that production needs are met in a timely and cost efficient manner. Ensure that the personnel released to production is fully qualified and certified for the assigned position. Ensure that training programs are executed within required specifications and lowest costs; take appropriate “make or buy” decisions on training programs. - Ensure the availability of KPIs in order to monitor the evolution of the training versus the requirement of the QMS and identify improvement initiatives. Design and implement a Continuous Improvement strategy ensuring training path for the key position in the Organization and Improvement initiatives deployment to continuously increase factory performances. - Define and propose the departmental yearly budget and keep close control on all expenses in order to ensure that they comply with budgetary decisions and that financial practices are in line with overall PMI policies. Who we’re looking for: - Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management or equivalent education - more than 5 years’ experience in production area, training, quality within FMCG, pharmaceutical or similar industry, of which at least 3 years in a managerial role - Knowledge in MS Office Package. - Strong People management, communication, negotiation, ability to coach, teamwork and intercultural competence.
