Job Description: Position Overview: This position will require significant leadership experience withn a heavy equipment manufacturing/assembly environment and be responsible for activities that ensure quality products are produced on time, competitively and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. On a local base ensure the positive and cooperative cross functional Team Work. Key Responsibilities: - Received and analyses production orders to determine types, quantities, variation, specifications, and proposed delivery of products, then schedules and estimates team members hours and materials needed to complete assignments. - Confers with engineering and others to establish production and quality control standards, develop cost standards and obtain special information about products specifications, changes, etc. - Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes, machine and plant capability and humans resources requirements. - Reviews and analyses production, quality, maintenance and operational reports. - Develops and implements operational methods and procedures to resolve and eliminate operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems. - Integrates production and maintenance activities to minimize non-productive use of capacity. - Coordinates schedules with productions teams, materialis management and maintenance. Ensures a safe and healthy work environment. - Ensures that all team members are trained and observe safe practices. Coordinates with safety and hygiene professionals to provide education and internal audit. - Directs and coordinates problem solving activities with Customers Satisfaction, customers, vendors, and other production team members. - Consults with engineering to modify machines and equipment to improve production and quality. - Develops and oversees implementation of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality. - Identifies and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment and tools that improve work flow, efficienty and team member safety. - Coordinates production requirements with material handling and participates in the “just in time” philosophy - Trains new team members including work team leaders. Comunicates company philosophies and policies, teaches and demostrantes work routines and document performance. - Facilitates communications and conducts meeting on employee relations matters such as promotions, transfers, attendance, discipline, work conditions and personale assistance. - Resolves team member grievances and problems, facilitating solutions or forwarding situations to higher authority. - Conducts reviews of supervisor and other contributor performance. Participates in reviews of plant layout, machine review. Qualifications & Experience Required - Mechanical education either at High School or Engineering University Degree is required. - Excellent report and procedural processing skills. - Excellent Computer skills. - Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills. - Strong orientation towards quality and continuous improvement. - Good English language - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stake holders and fellow teammates at all levels - Attitude in dealing with an international/Multicultural business environment - Safety culture Previous experience gained within a manufacturing/engineering environment. High level of vehicle systems experience (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, controls,etc.).
