  • The Trade Compliance Analyst is a position within the International Trade Compliance function, facilitating international shipments of military aircraft production and sustainment materials.
  • Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to
  • Coordinate international trade and compliance operations within a country or region to meet business goals.
  • Ensure documents and data meet legal and fiscal requirements and records are maintained in accordance to guidelines. Independently validate and coordinate import and export transactional data and document requirements to complete cross-border filings and clearance.
  • Execute and complete medium-impact internal global trade and compliance projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with standard partners to implement cross-border solutions to support organizational goals.
  • Record, monitor and analyze compliance operations key performance indicators for the location. Independently solve moderately complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Will audit, analyze, and document accuracy of information to ensure business practices and records are in strict adherence to Italian Customs and other regulatory agency rules and regulations.
  • Maintain and conduct audits of export transactions to affirm internal controls in areas including classification, recordkeeping, value, origin, licensing, etc. Implement any necessary corrective actions to any audit findings.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Experienced with Italian Export and Import regulatory requirements associated military products.
  • Must possess a level of knowledge that allows for the establishment of robust international trade compliance procedures that deliver executable solutions across core functions and programs.
  • Previous experience handling Shipments and freight forwarding processes
  • Be a fluent communicator in both Italian and English languages

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

  • Experience with the Italian Law 185/90 which regulates all the import, export and transit activities referred to the defence sector
  • Experience managing SAP and global trade services
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) experience in Italy
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
