With more than 30 brands, 11,000+ employees globally and products sold in 130 countries, we specialize in security around the doorway and beyond. Duties and responsibilitiesThis role has responsibility for driving product and process improvements resulting in lower product failures and associated costs and increased customer satisfaction in terms of quality perception.Responsibilities: Develops procedures for product/process/component/or material measurement and assessment, particularly in preparation for new product, ensuring that quality processes are in place and meet customer requirements.Makes decisions on acceptability of product/process/component/or materials by tracking and measuring conformance to standards, specifications, and quality requirements.Performs involved statistical analysis of product/process/component/or materials performance measurement, control, and improvement.Initiates corrective action as appropriate and ensures timely closure.Ensures that appropriate testing and procedures are in place as well as specifying test equipment required to accurately measure quality of product/process/component/or materials.Conducts audits to verify production processes and control plan adherence.Identify and validate rework processResponsible for implementing quality improvement programs with direction from management.Interfaces with company organizations to ensure that quality requirements are included in product/process/component/or materials planning as well as implementation.Advise and coach quality technicians, Supervisors and Team Leaders in the creation and deployment of metrology methodologies, and other measurement techniques.Perform other related duties as requiredQualifications & requirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electronical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position in manufacturing industryUsed to multidisciplinary approach including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, Special Characteristic managementKnowledge of ISO 9001Analytical skillsAbility to read and understand technical drawingsExcellent communication and presentation skills both up and down the organizationAbility to interact with people at all levelsEnglish Fluent with conversation and writing.Good knowledge of Microsoft office package.Six Sigma certification will be a plusKey competenciesStrong leadership qualities including effective interpersonal, project management skills, strategic mind-set and ability to prioritize working activities.Persuasive written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong multi-tasking and organizational capabilities, with a high level of attention to detail.Commitment to continuous improvement, motivated ‘can-do’ attitude, and results - oriented.Must be a flexible, decisive and proactive problem solver.Must be able to work well in high pressure, fast-paced environment and be proficient at conflict resolution.We Celebrate Who We Are! Allegion is committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
