Duties: - Develops war plans and contingency operations plans. - Provides intelligence planning input guidance and technical assistance in the development of plans and orders. - Coordinates and manages the execution of intelligence-related training. - Conducts daily liaison with joint, allied, coalition, and subordinate intelligence planning activities. - Works within established planning priorities and make recommendations on the validation of requirements for intelligence support. - Contributes to Strategic Communications concepts and plans as required. - Delivers intelligence focus on major theater of war contingency operations, and updates intelligence products. - Analyzes theater and national operations and contingency plans. - Prepares intelligence planning products and participates in integrated staff Military Decision Making Process. Requirements: Conditions of Employment: - Two year trial/probationary period may be required. - In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI). - Position is designated Emergency Essential (E-E) in support of mobilization and wartime mission. - Employee will be required to remain in the overseas position in the event of hostilities or mobilization until relieved by proper authority. - E-E employees are required to undergo nuclear-biological and chemical training and to participate in readiness tests, mobilization, alerts, and field training exercises. - Employee must pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployed location. Prior to appointment to the position, employee will sign a statement agreeing to the E-E condition of employment. - Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 25% of the time. - Subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management. - Must sign a statement attesting to the understanding of CIPMS/DCIPS provisions as indicated in AR 690-13. - Must sign a mobility agreement. Specialized experience is defined as experience with intelligence planning input guidance and technical assistance in the development of plans and orders to support real world contingencies and military training exercises. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). - Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. - You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: - Oral Communication - Project Management - Technical Competence Education: This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
