Explore Your PotentialYour life on boardAs a Demi chef de partie pastry, you will coordinate, organize and ensure daily dessert preparation in the assigned pastry area according to company standards. Demonstrate your passion•You will prepare all pastries ensuring that they are composed, displayed and served according to Company standard recipes and temperatures, asking assistance whenever needed to maintain a correct execution and minimizing food spoilage.• You will prepare and mix ingredients for cooking and baking including portioning, chopping and storing food in order to assure products are ready for recipes preparation Getting Things Right• You ensure the correct functioning of pastry equipment by regularly checking and promptly reporting malfunctions to the pastry chef, demonstrating your attention to detail.• You minimize waste and overproduction while meeting company standards, showcasing your focus on operational efficiency and adherence to quality standards.Safety First:• You actively participate in creating a dynamic work environment attentive to the culture of safety, highlighting your dedication to fostering a workplace where safety is a priority for everyone.• You conduct daily checks of pastry products in all onboard restaurants to guarantee excellent quality service, displaying your commitment to delivering safe and high-quality products to customers.• You carry out daily cleaning procedures according to HACCP/USPH company standards, emphasizing your dedication to maintaining a clean and safe workspace in compliance with industry regulations. What makes you unique• You have indulged your passion by obtaining an upper secondary school diploma (preferably a culinary school diploma or equivalent).• You demonstrate your dedication by accruing at least 2 years of experience in the pastry sector within 5* hotels or pastry laboratories, reflecting your commitment to excellence.• You have an in-depth knowledge of food safety ( HACCP) regulations.• You have a good command of the English language at least at B1 level.• You are available to live traveling aboard a cruise ship for the contract period of 5 months, working 7 days a week on shifts. Why CostaWelcome to a world of extraordinary adventures as a Costa Crociere crew member!
