The role of Head of Accounting is crucial to ensure full compliance with tax and accounting laws, internal group guidelines, and to continuously improve financial processes. You will be the leader of a team of 4 accounting and finance professionals. Compliance and Reporting Ensure 100% compliance with relevant local legislation and internal group accounting guidelines. Timely submission of accurate financial information to stakeholders. Actively manage the year-end audit process and external auditors. Compile monthly and annual closings and prepare annual statutory financial statements. Process Improvement and Integration Streamline processes and utilize available tools to increase efficiency. Maintain integration of accounting operations from a process, systems, and control perspective. Tax Management and Treasury Supervision Support effective tax management in collaboration with tax specialists and external advisors. Supervise treasury activities, fixed asset register, accounts payable and receivable ledgers, bank statement postings, and reconciliation of accounts. Team Leadership and Development Build and lead a highly engaged and motivated accounting team, providing support, guidance, and leadership. Multiyear experience in a similar role, preferably in a complex and structured environment. Solid understanding of accounting and tax matters. Good English language skills (B1/B2 level minimum). Advanced Excel skills required. Knowledge of SAP FI and experience in an auditing company are advantageous. Ability to organize daily work, set priorities, delegate tasks, and supervise team activities. Precision, reliability, autonomy, and confidentiality.
