Your ‘day to day’: As Capex Analyst you will Control, record, facilitate, check as well as provide support in the Capex area to ensure availability of financial information for management's decision making and smooth actual and budgeting processes. Provide timely, reliable financial information to support business decision. Support initiation and execution of CAPEX projects through comprehensive financial and business analysis of proposed initiatives and preparation executive summary and approval forms for management in line with PMI guidelines. To prepare Original Capital Expenditure Budget and variance analysis. To prepare depreciation and project related expenses forecast for OB submission. To provide timely updates to CAPEX and overheads budgets via RF process. To maintain accurate control and reporting over capital expenditure and to support control over company Fixed Assets. Provide constant support to all affiliates and functions and increase financial awareness within these organizations. The position will be based in Crespellano, Bologna. Specific responsibilities include: - Business Partnering: Actively cooperate with other Functions of the Organization in order to provide high level of service to the appropriate Departments. Provide necessary training and communications to other departments in order to increase knowledge within the company on CAPEX guidelines and promote efficient spending of company funds. Continuously increase knowledge on project appraisal methods, company operations and information systems in order to develop further management of capital expenditure and adopt it when required to the changes of company objectives Provide support to management in ad hoc tasks as required. - 650 & PDR Preparation: Prepare the capital expenditure (CAPEX) and disposal requests, ensuring that each proposal clearly and accurately addresses all the relevant aspects of the project in order to facilitate the decision making process. Support initiation and execution of CAPEX projects/disposals through comprehensive financial and business analysis of proposed initiatives. Prepare and follow up approval approvals in line with PMI guidelines. In particular: - analyze project background, rationale, requested expenditure, scope and timing, IRR and payback period; - initiate and / or assist in review of alternatives; - prepare project summary and capital expenditure and operating lease appropriation form (650) for management approval; - ensure that all authorization forms are approved in compliance with PM policies and procedures prior to project execution. - Project Expenditure Control: Maintain control over project expenditure in SAP: - ensure actual project expenditure is recorded against the appropriate WBS in SAP; - check that project budget is spent in strict compliance with authorized project scope and budget, through regular analysis of actual capital expenditure and related expenses; - regularly analyze project execution plan against approved scope and schedule, liaise with project owners in case major variances are identified and ensure required forms (scope change, supplemental capital expenditure appropriation request) are prepared and approved by management; - prepare project status reports, including analysis of actual expenditure versus approved project scope and CAPEX cashflow forecast. - Budgeting: Collect data on capital expendures within Original Budget cycle. Prepare the required comprehensive summary and analysis for the Management Review. Upon approval, prepare the required templates for PMI timely submission. Prepare depreciation forecast in a timely and accurate manner. Collect data, analyze and submit Project Related Expenses for overhead budget. Provide the required data for inputs into Tagetik - GMRB (and local budget systems) within the strict deadlines so that it is available for consolidation in time and in required volume. - Reporting: Provide management with status reports on capital expenditures, when requested, ensuring that all information is accurate and timely.
