Summary
As a Principal Systems Engineer Team Leader, you will be responsible for product definition, product verification and strategic customer support within Allegro's Power Integrated Circuit (PIC) product lines, coordinating a team of Systems Engineers in their daily activities.
You will work closely with Allegro system, design and test engineers, marketing personnel, field application, and with industry leading customers to:
· Coordinating the daily activities of Systems engineering team, managing priorities and ensuring tasks are completed on time in cooperation with the Manager, Systems Engineering
· Develop evaluation board and software (GUI) to communicate with the device and/or automate the test sequence.
· Verify proper performance of Allegro Power ICs through applications based testing in the laboratory and perform EMI tests.
· Datasheet creation including all the main device characteristics and applications recommendations together with all the other deliverables needed to go in production.
· Learn the requirements and value propositions for various customer applications within the automotive, communications and industrial markets. Over time, you will become an expert within the key applications spaces targeted by the Power IC Business Unit.
· Generation applications reports and reference designs required to secure major design wins combining different Allegro chipset.
· Support Failure analysis engineer, field application to understand the customer issue and solve it.
· Mentor and supervise junior and senior Systems Engineers
Requirements:
· BSEE or advanced degree in Electronic Engineering
· 6+ years of years of Industry experience in Power converter Application or Power IC Design
· Solid understand of PMIC and/or Switching regulator topologies, EMI mitigation techniques, PCB layout, bench testing and familiarity with mixed signal semiconductors
· Knowledge of MATLAB/SimuLink, SIMPLIS/SIMetrix, LabVIEW, and switch mode power conversion and PCB layout experience is preferred.
· Electronics laboratory experience using a variety of tools and test methodologies.
· Strong interpersonal and English communication skills as a technical leader of the team.
· Ability to make clear technical presentations both to external Allegro customers and to Allegro's Senior Management Staff.
Our customer base is globally diversified and this position could involves national and international travel.
