We have an exciting vacancy for an Inspector, Safety role within our Italian Sites in Corporate Shipbuilding where you will supervise all construction, installation works, commissioning and acceptance of equipment / spaces related to discipline areas, ensuring they are inspected, verified and functionally tested to meet the design parameters, quality objectives, Carnival standard and contractual requirements.

This role will be based in our Site in Trieste.

The Role

As an Inspector, Safety you will be responsible for inspection services within the Hull Construction and Outfitting disciplines during the construction, sea trials, ship readiness and post-delivery phases. You will attend inspections based on the daily program, together with completion of any specialist or complex requirements or resolution of issues.

The role is responsible within the area of expertise for ensuring assets are safe, protected, technically sound, maintainable and providing longevity in terms of asset management.

About You :

  • You will have experience of working in the marine industry such as Shipbuilding, classification societies or ship operators, technical suppliers, or an engineering firm in a position of accountabilities.
  • You will be experienced in delivering inspections in Hull Construction, Safety and Outfitting disciplines.
  • You will have experience of working in and with multi-cultural environments where teamwork is of the essence.
  • You will have relevant qualifications within your specialised area

Vaccination status

If this role requires you to visit and/or work onboard a Carnival Corporation ship or at a shipyard where a ship is under construction or undergoing refit/repairs, you must be fully vaccinated (with a WHO or MHRA approved two-dose COVID-19 vaccination course or single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine), including any relevant booster vaccinations. This is to protect both you and your colleagues, will help to ensure a safe working environment and reduce the risk of outbreaks. This requirement will be under regular review.
