Job Description Summary : At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we have been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a challenging two-year rotational path committed to grow entry level engineers within GE Aerospace. It targets high potential talent with a passion for technology development and a drive for technical excellence. It provides an opportunity to build engineering skills and GE leadership behaviors by supporting professional development through in-depth technical training, soft skills training and a variety of business critical assignments.

We offer a permanent contract for this role.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the activities of the teams across rotational assignments paired with technical and leadership classroom studies.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Contribute to a wide variety of projects and assignments to grow technical skills, leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Work within a team setting and / or under guidance from Assignment Leader, communicate about project approach and presents outcomes..
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. Team player with ability to communicate effectively with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered and explains technical information to others.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master Degree in Engineering with specialization in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Energy, Materials, or Undergraduate students who plan to graduate within Sept 2024
  • Maximum 2 years post-graduation experience
  • Demonstrated academic excellence
  • Passion for engineering with strong technical attitude and an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Strong commitment to a career in Engineering & Technology
  • Curiosity to explore different Engineering roles and topics
  • Geographically mobility
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • EU Work Permit

Desired Characteristics
