As MEP Design Engineer you will be involved all aspects of building environmental engineering including sketches, design, specifications and drawing production. AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment in Milan to assist the MEP team with design work and field work on varied building types. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Design of heating, ventilation, fire protection and air conditioning systems as well as plumbing systems for buildings, highways and airports facilities. Technical and design process of the project from Preparation of Brief, Concept Design, through developed design to Construction and Handover Adhering to confident robust and well managed design process strictly controlled to a budget Collaborate with a fully integrated design team working in hand with both the Client’s and construction teams requirements Liaise with internal and external design consultants, AECOM network, commercial, procurement to assist with production of scope and fees for the design team and specialist trade work packages Co-ordinate technical, design and external Client issues with the design and construction teams Provide technical guidance, planning and logistic information for bids and tenders Involvement with the Client contact during the design development phase and into the construction phase In conjunction with Environmental Consultant issue agreed sustainability/Code, Pre-Assessment and Energy Strategy Assist with the preparation of Health & Safety File and O&M Manuals Develop, monitor and report on integrated design program from design team award through pre-construction and construction phases Provide technical support to the bid process Minimum Requirements Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or Industrial Engineer 5+ years of experience with an engineering firm under an MEP role Experience in project management within a defined fee budget and program Specific Skills required Should be a chartered engineer Available to design and act as Design of Records International working experience a plus Cost estimating experience Professional experience working with a design consulting firm Relevant experience with Autocad, Revit and MS Office The ability to work with, interpret, and apply European and American building codes Knowledge of pertinent laws, codes and regulations Fluent English (at least C2 level in EU standards) Available to be deployed in other AECOM offices or client premises Preferred Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or Industrial Engineer What we offer We will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
